  • Are you familiar with Czech cuisine? Let us introduce you to some of its highlights while roaming through the most beautiful parts of the city. Make sure to come hungry, Prague offers many opportunities to stuff your belly! Getting to know the local goodies is an essential part of every trip and we are here to make this one unforgettable.

Our tour begins near the historical entrance to the Old Town. Before we delve inside and start exploring the scenic architecture, let’s have a tasty appetizer in the form of the traditional Czech open-face sandwiches. These playful little delights are an indispensable ingredient to every local party and a definite must-have while visiting the city.

For the next stop, we need to get to the other side of the river in the district called Lesser Town. A short tram ride will take us directly within this historical neighbourhood right underneath Prague Castle. Here, in the narrow cobblestone streets, is a perfect place for some wine tasting. Served along with delicious local cheese and homemade jams, our wine will contribute its share to this unique experience.

Luckily, our next destination is just around the corner and some hearty Czech meals are on the menu. Get ready, these might be quite heavy! Traditional roasted sausages, potato pancakes, and a pork knuckle – that’s some proper Czech diet! Wash it down with a beer and you could hardly get more local. If you are not a beer fan, they also offer some of the favourite Czech soft drinks you won’t find anywhere else.

To help you digest and make space for more food, we will cross the magnificent Charles Bridge and explore the other side of the river. Our next stop will bring us outside of the Old Town, but the menu will remain quite traditional. In fact, this is where you will get to try the most typical Czech dishes. If your friends ever ask you about Czech cuisine, just tell them about our beef goulash, cream sauce, roasted duck, and especially the delicious dumplings that go with all of that. More beer, wine or local soft drinks are coming too.

It wouldn’t be a proper food tour if we didn’t end on a sweet note. You might consider our sweet buns with vanilla cream as a nice dessert but we actually eat them as a main dish! Sweet main courses are a typical thing around here so don’t be surprised about the serving size – you might want to split it with a friend. If you have further questions about our food culture, now is the time to ask. You will get a map with food recommendations, but don’t forget to ask your guide about his/her personal favourites!

Nikola gave us an amazing time. We now want to do a UA food tour wherever we go! She took us to fabulous local food places while also sharing/taking us to the key historical sites we were interested in. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable, prepared (all reservations/food were ready for us) and the experience was entirely wonderful!!

Mr. Cameron B. from Australia travelled on 14 Oct 2018:

Saša was amazing, I found all new things to do in a city I already know so well.

Mrs. Wenxi A. from Germany travelled on 10 Sep 2018:

Nikolai is no ordinary tourist guide. She is very special so is the whole Urban Adventures team, especially Lucy who is in the Admin work and behind everything. They make a total great team whose goal is to make a tourist time very worthwhile in Prague and they are very easy to coordinate with.

Nikolai is very professional and will surely not leave every customer alone. They always check on you if you need anything, even if you do not say it but they already know. I appreciate her initiative as a Tourist guide. She always does the extra mile and it makes the experience more awesome! This makes their team so amazing.
